The optical transmittance of BSCCO thin films prepared by the metal-organic decomposition (MOD) method was investigated. For samples with 1 to 3 coating layers, a decrease in transmittance was observed with an increasing number of layers, demonstrating that the repetitive stacking process of the MOD method is effective for controlling film thickness. From the Tauc plots, the optical absorption edges were estimated to be approximately 3.3–3.5 eV. This confirms that the BSCCO layer can function as an optical window to transmit excitation light for the ZnO layer. These results provide crucial optical insights for the development of light-controlled superconducting devices.
