This study focuses on the electrowetting (EW) phenomenon using emulsions and presents a fundamental investigation of oil droplet migration within a liquid droplet under applied voltage. The effects of electrode structure, cell thickness, and the volume ratio of emulsion components on changes in the oil droplet density distribution were evaluated. The results demonstrate that oil droplet migration depends on both structural and material conditions, suggesting potential applications beyond conventional EW uses, including optical devices that control the internal structure of emulsion droplets.
