To design chiral characteristics and functions of nanomaterials, it is important to analyze not only the macroscopic chiro-optical properties but also the local geometries of them. We have developed several chiro-optical imaging methods to visualize the local structure of the chiro-optical effect and demonstrated that the local chiro-optical properties were significantly different from the macroscopic ones. Based on the information obtained, we showed that we can generate characteristic local chiro-optical fields that interact with materials around the nanomaterials.
