Photoelectrochemical water splitting is sustainable strategy for solar-driven hydrogen production; however, conventional metal oxide photoelectrodes suffer from inefficient charge separation, poor surface kinetics, and limited life time. Here, we report designed MoO2/Fe-NiCo2O4 photoelectode, which is prepare by using simple electrodeposition method. The Mo-doping enhaces carrier density and optimizes band alignment, while the nanostructured architecture increases the electrochemically active surface and light harvesting efficiency.
