Colloidal synthesis may lead to the discovery of new nanocrystals with crystalline structures not present in bulk. Our laboratory recently succeeded in synthesizing new nanoplatelets with previously undiscovered crystalline structures through colloidal synthesis. In this study, we measured the electrical transport properties of this novel colloidal nanoplatelet assembly for the first time. Measurements of both fixed oxide gate FETs and EDL (electric double layer) FETs showed high conductivity, but in contrast to the optical properties, this material exhibited metallic behavior.
