In this study, a novel flat-panel detector (FPD) with an increased detection layer thickness is introduced with the aim of constructing a high-energy X-ray imaging system. The response characteristics of the FPD under concrete penetration conditions are evaluated, and the projection process is analyzed based on numerical simulations. Furthermore, the influence of scattered radiation components on the contrast of projection images is investigated.
