By exploiting the coupling between an optical microresonator fabricated on a fiber and the vapor field, it is possible to observe microscopic surface vibrations (ripplons) of a water droplet. In this work, through device miniaturization, increased laser power, and precise control of the resonator position, we achieved a measurement sensitivity of 0.32 pm, which represents the highest value reported to date.
