[16a-PB4-14]Fabrication of Liquid-Crystal-Embedded Subwavelength Metal Meshes in the Terahertz Range

In this study, we fabricated a metal mesh by processing a metal foil with a thickness of approximately sub-millimeter using a pulsed laser, aiming to apply it as a polarization control element in the terahertz range. We then used this metal mesh to fabricate a liquid-crystal-embedded metal mesh. Evaluation of the transmission characteristics in the terahertz range revealed an increase in retardation due to the metal mesh.
