Recently, evaluation methods for the uniformity of new mortar-based materials incorporating functional additives have been demanded because they are used in widespread situations. Non-destructive measurement methods using terahertz waves are considered effective for in-plane distribution non-destructive measurement because they provide both the penetrability of various materials and the high spatial resolution. In this study, a terahertz-wave transmittance measurement system using a terahertz-wave resonant tunnel diode for both generation and detection was constructed, and terahertz-wave in-plane transmittance distribution measurements were performed on mortars mixed with functional materials.
