Aiming to commercialize Process Analytical Technology (PAT) for continuous flow synthesis, a revolutionary manufacturing method for active pharmaceutical ingredients, we developed a sensing technology using a time-domain attenuated total reflection THz spectroscopy system. The possibility of monitoring flow synthesis processes using THz refractive index sensing was demonstrated. The authors will report on the analytical results of THz measurements, along with the results of Raman spectroscopy and HPLC.
