Non-Hermitian,Unidirectionality

This study aimed to achieve broadband unidirectional absorption in the infrared region using a non-Hermitian structure composed of low- and high-loss materials. A four-layer structure consisting of Bi and CaF2 was optimized using the transfer matrix method, yielding high absorption for forward incidence and low absorption for backward incidence. Power spectrum analysis confirmed the unidirectionality based on non-Hermitian properties, demonstrating its potential application as a thermal shielding material.
