Recently, metasurfaces with quasi-bound states in the continuum (BIC) have received considerable attention due to their high Q factors and potential applications for sensing devices. Symmetry-protected BICs are transformed into quasi-BICs by introducing broken space inversion symmetry, which couples with an incident plane wave. In this study, we introduce a DC-biased magnetic metaatom into a metasurface with BIC. Due to both broken space- and time-inversion symmetries by the metamatom, the metasurface exhibits the nonreciprocal excitation of quasi-BICs in the transmittance spectra.
