Solar cell efficiency can be improved by introducing nanowire structures. In self-catalyzed VLS-grown core–shell nanowires, removal of the catalyst droplet during the growth process is required. In this study, core–shell nanowires were fabricated using two different droplet removal methods, and their morphology and optical properties were evaluated by SEM and PL measurements.
