Cu(In,Ga)S2 (CIGS) solar cells are promising candidates for top cells in tandem structures because their bandgap can be tuned within the range of 1.5 to 2.4 eV. However, it has been reported that sulfur-based CIGS polycrystalline films exhibit smaller grain sizes compared to selenium-based Cu(In,Ga)Se2. Therefore, increasing the grain size and improving the crystalline quality remain critical challenges for enhancing solar cell performance. In this study, we investigated the beneficial effects of Ag addition to CIGS, specifically focusing on its impact on the crystal structure and device performance.
