[16p-M_103-4]One-dimensional molecular chain with π-d coupling of octacyano-Fe-phthalocyanine

Octacyano-Fe-phthalocyanine (FePc(CN)8), an n-type organic semiconductor, exhibits a unique crystal structure known as the x-form. In the x-form crystal structure, the central Fe(Ⅱ) are arranged in a linear chain. Theoretical calculations suggest this structure forms a one-dimensional molecular chain with a well-developed Fe 3d band near the Fermi level. In this study, we directly observed the electronic structure near the Fermi level of FePc(CN)8 using photoelectron spectroscopy with synchrotron radiation.
