In GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells, electrons coherently couple to LO phonons via intersubband transitions (resonant polarons). A charge-sensitive infrared phototransistor (CSIP) is a quantum device based on a GaAs/AlGaAs double-quantum-well structure that enables electrical readout of resonant polarons. In this presentation, we evaluate the sensitivity of a CSIP in which the intersubband energy is tuned to match the LO-phonon energy, and we report the photoresponse spectra.
