We proposed an aerial imaging system employing a hybrid polarization Fresnel lens (HPFL) that integrates a polarization diffraction grating with a polarization Fresnel lens, enabling system miniaturization and a theoretically 100% light utilization efficiency. Although operation with white light was previously limited to monochromatic use due to wavelength-dependent color separation and nonuniformity, we attempted system “whitening” by compensating for the wavelength dependence of diffraction angle and diffraction efficiency.
