The Newtonian constant of gravitation is a fundamental physical constant. We propose a new method for measuring this constant based on precise translational vibration measurements. In this method, a tungsten mass is oscillated with a period of several tens of seconds, and the variation in the surrounding gravitational field is detected using a highly sensitive pendulum. Through feedback control, the detected signal is converted into the linear acceleration of the suspension point, which is then accurately measured by a laser interferometer. In this presentation, we will present the details of the measurement principle and report on the current progress of the experiment.
