This study explores the social implementation of agricultural applications based on spatiotemporally controlled high electric fields and the discharge plasma. Pulsed power technology was employed to achieve precise spatiotemporal control of the electric field in bio-load. The target media of these interactions include fundamental biological components such as water, proteins, cell membranes, and living organisms. The developed technologies were applied to practical agricultural challenges, including the promotion of mushroom fruiting body formation, removal of biological contamination, and decomposition of plant hormones. These systems were developed into practical products and installed in agricultural produce transportation containers to evaluate experimentally of their effectiveness in the modern food supply chain.
