In this study, we propose an alternative approach to catalyst preparation using the impregnation method. This method is known for its simplicity and is expected to facilitate large-scale catalyst production in the microwave decomposition process for the direct production of carbon nanotubes and hydrogen gas from plastic waste. SEM observation confirmed the formation of nanoscale tubular carbon structures in the residue sample after heating.
