In addition to the in-plane anomalous Hall effect which has been demonstrated in the magnetic Weyl semimetals in recent years, the in-plane anomalous Nernst effect, enabling the conversion of a heat current into a transverse voltage under an in-plane magnetic field, has been also expected. In this study, we applied a temperature gradient to an SrRuO3 thin films grown by molecular beam epitaxy and measured the Nernst voltage with continuously rotating the azimuthal magnetic field angle φ with respect to the crystal axes. As a result, we have succeeded in observing the in-plane anomalous Nernst effect which exhibits the clear threefold rotational symmetry reflecting the crystal symmetry.
