Free-standing superconducting thin films allow the intrinsic properties of materials to be studied without substrate effects. In this work, we successfully fabricated free-standing GdBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films by optimizing buffer-layer structures and combining a thermal release tape with a protective amorphous Al2O3 layer. The films were cleanly separated from the substrate, and their superconducting transition temperature and structure remained almost unchanged after lift-off, demonstrating the effectiveness of this approach.
