Ni3In, in which Ni atoms form a kagome lattice, has a flat band induced by geometric character of lattice near the Fermi level. Although anomalous transport properties driven by strong electron correlations have been reported, the microscopic mechanism remains unclear. In this study, to clarify the transport mechanism in Ni3In, we measured the Seebeck coefficient using polycrystalline samples. In addition, we calculated the band structure by using the density functional theory and computed transport distribution functions. By comparing the experimental results with the calculations, we will discuss the thermoelectric properties originating from the flat band.
