We have estimated so far the process of formation of biofilm quantitatively based on image analysis of light scattering patterns by biofilms under laser illumination, and have investigated the basic possibility of analyzing the removal process using ultrasound. In the present study, we investigated removing process of biofilms derived from water containing bacteria at different volumetric concentrations. We introduced spatial difference analysis and fractal dimension analysis as image processing methods to evaluate the removal process and performed a comparative study of the biofilm removal process according to volumetric concentration and image processing method.
