This study demonstrates the effectiveness of reducing rolling resistance during non-contact object movement, starting by using photothermal Marangoni convection generated on the surface of a spherical light absorber submerged in liquid. Specifically, the vertical drag was reduced by shifting the laser focus position downward from the sphere's center and imparting an upward component to the jet flow. The results showed that the maximum acceleration improved by approximately 1.4 times compared to horizontal jet injection, demonstrating that jet angle control is effective for improving starting characteristics.
