FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) are programmable logic-circuit which performe the user's applications. They are essential components for a wide variety of satellites, and high performance and functionality are required. FPGAs for space applications are dominated by US vendors, and are subject to import/export controls, problems in terms of price, delivery time, and procurement flexibility.
Under these circumstances, in order to build a satellite supply-chain that contributes to the development of the space industry ecosystem, including from the perspective of independence, domestically produced space FPGAs with the performance and functions are required. We aim to commercialize FPGAs that meet this need.
