The purpose of this research is to develop the method for controlling nanostructures of azobenzene particles due to enhancement effects of electronic field of localized plasmon of gold nanorods using infrared light which is inactive for azo molecules. Here, to clarify the fundamental processes, we investigated optical deformation process of azo thin films dispersed with gold nanorods irradiated by near infrared light.
