Low-dimensional perovskites based on lead halides can be controlled their dimensionality and arrangements by formation of hydrogen bonding with organic molecules. In this study, we focus on the organic chiral molecule 4-((R,S)-1-aminoethyl)pyridine (R(S)-AEP) to introduce a chirality or helicity into the low-dimensional perovskite. The R(S)-AEP shows protonating and valence-adjusting properties which depend on pH. Here, we fabricate new low-dimensional lead iodide-based perovskites with R(S)-AEP and discuss their crystal structures and optical electro-magnetic properties.
