In this study, low-dimensional lead perovskites were synthesized using pyrimidinium derivatives bearing substituents at the 2-position as organic cations. We demonstrate that variations in the substituents lead to the formation of diverse crystal structures ranging from intermediate-dimensional to two-dimensional frameworks, and we report the correlations between molecular structure, dimensionality, and optical/electronic properties.
