When I was in high school, I received support from Accel Kitchen LLC, which assists junior or high school students in research activities related to cosmic rays and elementary particles. Using Cosmic Watch, a simple muon detector, I built my own Cherenkov light detector. I measured cosmic ray induced Cherenkov lights at my home and successfully detected them. I am currently supporting junior or high school students at Accel Kitchen LCC. Based on my high school research experience and current support activities, I propose a simple Cherenkov light detection experiment that junior and high school students can detect at home.
