Within Accel Kitchen, a program that supports inquiry-based activities related to particle physics for secondary school students, high school students fabricated scintillators using resin materials. The synthesis was conducted with careful consideration of safety, including adequate ventilation and the use of protective equipment such as gloves and safety goggles. As a result, it was demonstrated that scintillators capable of detecting cosmic rays can be fabricated by high school students in a relatively low-cost and simple manner. This presentation reports on the educational impact of inquiry-based activities employing resin scintillators.
