When a magnetic field is applied to nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center diamond and optical excitation is performed under conditions where Zeeman splitting occurs, a population inversion is formed, enabling its use as a maser, as has been reported. In this presentation, we report on the development of a cryogenic millimeter-wave maser amplifier toward the establishment of a millimeter-wave quantum measurement system, as well as the development of a cryostat-integrated optical measurement setup required for this purpose.
