We achieved optical control over the crystal polymorph selectivity of an AIE-active TPE derivative using optical tweezers. A slight increase in solution pH reduced the crystallization induction time and successfully improved the selectivity of the metastable form (blue-emitting) while suppressing the formation of the most stable form (green-emitting). We report these findings based on in situ spectroscopic measurements, focusing on the impact of controlling electrostatic repulsion within aggregates on the nucleation environment.
