Keywords:
Mid-infrared spectroscopy,Breath diagnosis
We are developing mid-infrared light sources and real-time spectroscopy in the molecular fingerprint region for breath diagnosis. In this study, we increased the output of a 3 μm light source to 20 mW and achieved simultaneous cross-dispersed spectroscopy of both reference and signal beams. This mitigated the impact of light source fluctuations and environmental noise, successfully enhancing the sensitivity of gas spectroscopic measurements. We will report the evaluation results of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) using this system.
