Crystallization rate control during synthesis was employed to improve the emission performance of tin-based perovskite nanocrystals as lead-free alternatives. CsSnBr3 nanocrystals were synthesized by hot-injection and ion-exchange methods, and the effect of defect reduction on optical properties was investigated. As a result, an improved photoluminescence quantum yield was obtained, and red electroluminescence was demonstrated in LED devices.
