This study numerically analyzed the initial discharge process of plasma generated by dielectric barrier discharge in dry air. By solving the Poisson equation and the density continuity equation, the time evolution of charged particle density and active species density was evaluated. The results successfully reproduced the behavior from plasma generation via electron avalanches to decay, demonstrating the method's effectiveness for understanding active species distribution.
