A self-doped conducting polymer S-PEDOT monolayer was prepared by co-spreading with amphiphilic amine molecules on water. The mother solutions of S-PEDOT and amphiphiles were prepared with water or THF solvents, respectively. Mixed solutions were prepared by mixing these two solutions at target ratios and were spread on a water surface in a Langmuir trough. Dodecyl trimethylammonium bromide (DTAB), didodecyl amine (DDA) and Octadecyl amine (ODA) were used as amphiphilic molecules. The floating monolayers could be transferred onto a solid substrate. The mainchain orientations in the transferred films were evaluated by polarized absorption spectroscopy. Current-voltage measurements of the films were performed to elucidate electrical characteristics.
