For superconducting spintronic applications, Josephson junctions incorporating non-collinear antiferromagnets have attracted increasing attention. In this study, α-Mn thin films were grown on MgO(001) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy as an antiferromagnetic layer, and their interface structures were investigated using scanning transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The α-Mn films exhibit epitaxial growth with domain matching, and the absence of significant interfacial mixing suggests their potential applicability to spintronic devices.
