In this study, blue electrochemical light-emitting cells (LECs) were fabricated with the aim of elucidating their operating mechanism and improving emission efficiency, focusing on potential application to host–guest systems. A polyfluorene derivative, F8-Spiro, with a high triplet energy was employed as the host material, in combination with an ionic liquid, P4444-DBP, exhibiting good compatibility. The operating characteristics of the devices were analyzed using a displacement current measurement combined with electroluminescence (DCM-EL) technique to investigate the relationship between electrochemical doping behavior and emission properties.
