千葉大学教育学部を卒業。東京学芸大学大学院連合学校教育学研究科を単位取得退学。博士（教育学）。現在、筑波大学体育系准教授。専門は体育・スポーツ哲学。特に身体論と欲望論。著書に『体育がきらい』（筑摩書房）、近刊に『子どもたちのための体育をつくる哲学：身体・遊び・テクノロジー』（大修館書店）がある。
