緩和医療に携わる人にもっと知ってほしい骨転移へのアプローチー放射線治療医の立場からー

特定非営利活動法人日本骨転移研究会

がん患者の実に 20 ～ 30％が骨転移を発症すると報告されている。骨転移は進行すると、疼痛、骨折、脊髄麻痺などの有害事象を引き起こし、時に進行がん患者の治療・ケアをより困難なものにする。しかしながら、緩和医療従事者の骨転移に対する知識やスキルは十分ではなく、日本緩和医療学会においても骨転移に対する緩和的アプローチの重要性を教育・啓発する機会が十分あるとはいえない。治療中～終末期のがん患者およびその家族の QOL 向上のためには、適切な骨転移へのアプローチは間違いなく必要不可欠である。そこで本シンポジウムでは、緩和医療従事者に &ldquo; ここだけは知ってほしい &rdquo; という骨転移へのアプローチのノウハウを共有するとともに、&ldquo; 骨転移診療において緩和医療従事者ができること &rdquo; についての議論を深めたい。
