言葉で痛みを伝えることが難しいこどものサインに気づき、緩和へ ―そのプロセスに寄り添う看護実践―

緩和ケアを必要とするこどもにとって、苦痛症状の緩和は重要な目標の一つである。しかし、何を「苦痛」と捉えるかは、実際は簡単ではない。「痛い」「苦しい」と言葉で訴えたり、苦悶表情を浮かべたりすることだけを苦痛と捉えるのでは不十分である。言葉にならないサイン（表情、言動、周囲との関係、生活など）に対しても、苦痛の可能性として丁寧に読み解き、対応していくことが求められる。また、丁寧に診察や検査をしても原因が分からない痛みに苦しむこどもの対応に医療者が苦慮することもある。<br>本企画では、慢性疼痛、言葉で訴えることが難しいこどもの症状、精神症状への対応という難しいテーマについて、実践者が現場で抱える葛藤や試行錯誤の中で見出してきた工夫や信念などを共有する。演者の話を手がかりに、参加者が自らの実践と重ね合わせ、こどもの苦痛をどのように受けとめ、どのように関わり、支えていくのかをともに考える場にしたい。
