2050年の我が国における児童思春期精神科医療の展望

精神科医・精神科医療の実態把握委員会

この数十年、わが国では平均寿命が延長する一方で出生率が低下する、「少子高齢化」と呼ばれる現象が進行してきた。その結果、わが国の総人口は2008年の1億2808万人をピークとして、それ以降は平均して年0.7%ずつ減少してきている。<br>このような人口構造の変化は、精神科疾患の総患者数を減少させるにとどまらず、疾患構造にも大きな変化をもたらすと予測されるが、そのような変化が将来の精神科医療提供体制に及ぼす影響については、これまで十分に議論されてこなかったように思われる。<br>そこで、このシンポジウムでは、エクセルを用いた簡単なシミュレーションを行って、25年後、すなわち2050年のわが国における精神科疾患総患者数と疾患構造の変化について予測した上で、1）疾患構造の変化と医療技術の進歩の相互作用、2）疾患構造の変化が医療機関の経営問題に及ぼす影響、3）疾患構造の変化が医療政策に及ぼす影響について検討するとともに、今後の人口減少社会における精神科医療提供体制のあるべき姿について討論を行う。
