IDDK is developing the Micro Imaging Device (MID), a semiconductor-based, lensless, one-chip microscopic observation system designed for broad application across research and industrial domains. Unlike conventional optical microscopes, MID employs a fundamentally distinct imaging principle, resulting in a system that is lightweight, compact, and highly amenable to digital control. These characteristics enable diverse modes of deployment, including automation, integration into equipment and facilities, parallelization and multiplexing, as well as continuous and in situ observation.
In this presentation, we highlight four key topics: 1) the development of a new flexible system adaptable to various research scenes, 2) the extension of functionality from bright-field to fluorescence imaging, 3) the implementation of hyperspectral illumination for label-free spectral property analysis, 4) the establishment of a fully automated bioexperimental platform for space using unmanned satellites.
