Cementation of zinc (Zn), cobalt (Co), and nickel (Ni) from sulfate solution was investigated at different pH using aluminium as a reductant and activated carbon as a promotor. The results showed that cementation did not occur when using aluminum solely, while cementation occurred when using aluminium and activated carbon together. The results of SEM-EDX, XPS, and AES analysis for Zn cemented product showed that Zn was deposited on activated carbon attached on aluminum surface in the form of element and oxide.
