[1LS09]Optical clearing of live brain tissues with SeeDB-Live

Thu. Jul 30, 2026 12:00 PM - 12:50 PM JST
Thu. Jul 30, 2026 3:00 AM - 3:50 AM UTC
Room 9 (2A Meeting Room)
Moderator: Takehiro Tachizaki (Thorlabs Japan Inc.)
Co-hosted by Thorlabs Japan Inc.
Multiphoton microscopy is a rapidly advancing imaging technology that enables high-speed volumetric imaging at cellular resolution deep within living tissue. Thorlabs offers a comprehensive portfolio of multiphoton microscopy systems, ranging from the 5 mm field-of-view Mesoscope to the Mini2P for imaging in freely moving animals, and is committed to advancing technologies for studying diverse and complex biological phenomena in neuroscience. In this seminar, Dr. Imai from Kyushu University will present recent work from his group on a novel technique for clearing living mammalian tissues without compromising physiological function. The newly developed BSA-based clearing reagent, together with optimized microscope settings, enhances fluorescence imaging of spheroids, organoids, acute brain slices, and the mouse brain in vivo.
