[2LS-05]To The Future of Microscopy Imaging
Fri. Jul 25, 2025 12:00 PM - 12:50 PM JST
Fri. Jul 25, 2025 3:00 AM - 3:50 AM UTC
Fri. Jul 25, 2025 3:00 AM - 3:50 AM UTC
Room 5 (301B)
Moderator: Shintaro Tanaka (Leica Microsystems K.K.)
Co-sponsored by Leica Microsystems K.K.
In this seminar, Dr. Tetsuya Takano (Kyushu University, Institute for Advanced Study and Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Department of Molecular Systems for Brain Functions) will present his work on a spatial proteomics analysis platform based on the proximity-dependent biotin identification (BioID) method, which he developed. This innovative approach enables high-resolution visualization and identification of molecular components at astrocyte-synapse contact sites, offering new insights into synaptic plasticity and the molecular basis of neurological disorders. Additionally, Leica will introduce the potential of high-resolution, low-phototoxic live imaging using the TauSTED Xtend super-resolution microscope combined with fluorescence lifetime technology.
