Interactions among the neurons, glial cells and vascular cells are required for the development and function of the brain. Moreover, recent studies have been unraveling the interactions may play a role in brain aging and pathological conditions of the brain. This symposium involves an introduction of an animal model and powerful analyzing methods for neurogenesis and interactions among neurons, glial cells and vascular network in the brain development. In addition, we will discuss the diseases caused by a disturbance of the neuro-vascular wiring. We hope the discussions focusing on the neuron-glia-vascular network and its disturbance helps to gain new knowledge and visions for the brain development and its related diseases.
