Pharmacists will be the health care professionals responsible for providing patient care that ensures optimal medication therapy outcomes. The purpose of every pharmacist should be improving medication use and advancing patient care. The goal of pharmaceutical health care is to optimize the patient's health related quality of life, and achieve positive clinical outcomes, within realistic economic expenditures. Community pharmacy is evolving to provide additional services to patients such as compliance improvement, self-care and OTC consultations and advising on daily activities to supplement medical treatment. Additionally, for outpatients community pharmacy has responsibility to avoid drug-related adverse events in the patients' daily life, so monitoring for clinical signs of side effects is necessary. Pharmacists are crucial in the selection of safe and effective prescription and nonprescription products for patients. The purpose of every pharmacist should be improving medication use and advancing patient care. Pharmacists will be the health care professionals responsible for providing patient care that ensures optimal medication therapy outcomes. Pharmacists are the medication experts. Pharmaceutical health care is one of very important roles. The objective of this symposium is that understand the necessity of a knowledge in the provision of pharmaceutical health care.
