This workshop aims to explore effective strategies for student assessment in physiology education through moderator-guided small-group collaboration. While traditional approaches have primarily relied on written and oral examinations and reports, recent trends in university accreditation and medical education emphasize the need for a more comprehensive assessment framework. Such a framework should not only evaluate students' knowledge but also assess their practical skills and professional attitudes. To meet these standards, assessments must demonstrate reliability and validity, align with intended learning outcomes and pedagogical strategies, and contribute meaningfully to student learning. This workshop is designed for a wide range of educators, including those seeking to enhance their current assessment methods, those unfamiliar with key assessment concepts such as reliability, validity, and learning-centered approaches, and those interested in sharing and discussing effective evaluation strategies. Participation is open to all qualified educators committed to advancing assessment practices in physiology education.
